We have built a beautiful formal water feature of natural stone with bluestone caps.

The water falls over bluestone a drops a bour tree feet into a pond. However, the water does not uniformly sheet over the bluestone.

You would need to talk to a stainless steel fabricator to have him or her fabricate you a pour module. I had a guy make me a stepped pour module that is on a hinge. . I can shower, and then turn it up and lock it so the shower fills the step and then the water pours like a waterfall. . My wife who is Irish Amer wanted it. . She loves waterfalls and this Irish guy loves to see his Irish wife waterfall her blues away. . GL

Don’t use a picture of hands or someone receiving massage, especially a female. These images are so over-used that people just ignore them now. Instead, use images that give the feeling you intend your clients to associate with your work. For relaxation massage, any images that inspire a restful feeling (beach landscapes, waterfalls, etc) or for sports massage and to promote the idea that massage helps you feel and be your best, pictures of people being active.
The reason I say don’t use a female (or at least not exclusively females) in your advertising is that research shows that male clients will not go to a therapist if they think it is “for girls,” while females seem to be more flexible and will go to a place that has both genders in the advertising.
For colors, use something that appeals to you. I personally like earth-tones (browns and greens). People are so different, though, that you are not going to please everyone with one color. For example, many people find blue very calming, but there are some people who think of it as cold or depressing. Purple is generally associated with spiritual enlightenment, but. . .

When I was considering a name for my practice, someone told me to consider using a business name in case I ever want to sell the business to someone else a few years down the road. I don’t see that happening anytime soon, but no use burning bridges, right?
A business name (vs using your own) also makes you seem more professional (assuming you have chosen a professional-sounding name, not something like Happy Hands. ) Again, do not use the word “hands” in your name; it is SO cliche.
Be careful with hiring someone else to do your logo design. I had a really bad experience in which I paid someone a lot of money and got only half of what I expected. I ended up doing my own design anyway.

You should take a look at a church in japan (on the Internet) I forget the architects name but he designed a church very modern clean lines with waterfalls and also he used light as a very important feature. He used sunlight and the path of the sun to help him with his design. Since the planning is done primarily in advance of the cascade model, I think any popular, stable, well understood and well supported test tools would be ideal, while implementing a project using the cascade model.

If you make the beds, you can do almost anything. I went to the fragrant flowers near the pool – sweet peas for the day, shares of the night (Mattiolo) for flavoring night. Near the fence, I would suggest something high, but not something to stick to a new fence (if you keep the old man, who had to cover the vines). What color is mahogany, branching sunflowers? If you want to plant and forget (perrenials, or self-seeding plants), take a package of oriental poppy and valerian for color boneriensis early and late.
If you are looking for more work, some roses are always nice, but they need more care than most plants.

Last year, constructed a 800-liter pond with a waterfall. This is what I discovered befor/edurin/gafter this project:
1. Preformed Line Waterfront: Liner, less thick and expensive, punctures easily. Preformed is not much flexibility in size and depth, but no puncture.
2nd I buried a tank get stock. Hard, impervious, permanent.

They come in one size (round), but forever.
3rd Fish need at least 18 "deep.
You must create a small ecosystem in your pond.

It's easy!
1. Fish.

The fish feed on algae and put the CO2 in the water.
2nd Plants. Shade plants, fish and bring oxygen into the water.
3rd Aerator. Waterfall, spray, dummy.

It puts oxygen in the water circulates the water to control algae.
4th Bacteria.

Available in liquid, powder, or in the form of balls. Balances and clean water.

Algiers fight.
5th Sun and shade.

As much of each. Plants love Sun Algiers hates shade.

The fish need shade.
Choose a pump:
1.

A waterfall pump differs from a spra/ypump bubble.

There are many sites that tell you how to choose a waterfall pump.

It is best to go to a pond shop, tell them the size of the dam (feet wide feet deep, made gallons) and the size of waterfall you want (how high, how wide). Let me help you.
2nd A spra/ybubble/rfountain pump: A good guide is to allocate the amount of water in the pond per hour (ie 100 gallons = 100 GPH pond pump).

A pump with an adjustable flow rate is the best.
3rd Consider a biofilter.

Your pump will have a pre-filter (a foam lining), but a biofilter is basically a big box with a filter media (I use foam blocks) within it. My bio is buried right in my waterfall.
4th I have not had any experience with UV light.
Building a waterfall!
1. Be patient. I spent 6 months researching before they dug my pond. Read what others have done and what mistakes they have made. Save the images. Go to a place of landscaping materials and select your cascade of flat stones, in addition to his mound of small stones around the waterfall and pond.
2nd Be patient! The water flow is not the way you want.

You will have many many settings.
3rd Be patient! Even after the cascade is built, the water would still flow as you want. What to do? Waterfall foam.

It fills in the cracks so that water goes where you want!
4th Be patient! One month after I built my case, part of the line blew at the waterfall, the water flowed on the hill and all the raging waterfall in the pond. I had to start again.
5th You will use a pond liner for your waterfall.

The thicker the better. I'm still slowly reduce the surplus line, it is best to let the excess coating to cut also.

Smart girl, installed the feed so that you say it is perfect! buy a pump which is under water and shoot water out (sump pump) rather than one designed for a pond.

They are built tough and is cheaper.

I think it would work.

But I think it's a bit worried – if you leak, you will still have land there, so the water will come down slowly – not consumed in a bathtub. While you check the pool every day (and you, to cleanse and appreciate it) should be able to notice if there is a hole in it.

Then you can put the fish into cubes about the need to fix the hole.
I just saw an article in Better Homes and Gardens, a pond that had a waterfall.

The feeding tube directly through the line and just looked at two overlapping shirts – there were no luxury sealing or Caulking ensure that it does not leak.

So I think the shirts are better than you think.
If you go with an already made one, but I see no reason why you should invest in a coating on top.

You must go to your local pool store to see what's available, and rock.

You beautiful statues as water poured from an urn or mouth of a lion or a crane, for example. Or you can have a fountain in the middle of the pond to create the same benefit of the aeration of the water.
One thing is also available in the local pond shop is whether a local dam tour, whioch often occurs in spring. Typically costs about $ 10 a tour of five or six of the best lakes in your area, and usually takes place over a weekend. This may give some ideas.

For one who wants to install their first, and likely only garden pool, this book is great. We installed a pond with a flexable liner, not the rigid type and we needed to know such things as what depth, why we needed to step the depth, type of materials, essentially all the things to do it ourselves. This book was very helpful in that regards. After four years, we are still happy we installed our pond.

I ran into the same problem with an Aquascape CAC! They really didn’t know anything about ponds. I did find someone that blew my mind with what they knew about ponds. We decided it was best to take the pond apart and start over as the setup of the pond was horrible. After Nature’s Touch Ponds fixed the pond it turned out much better then I had expected! Remember that pet stores make a great place to look for water pumps to pull the water from your basin back to the top of the water fall.

You might could even take the simple approach and just cement rocks to an aquarium pump placed inside a bowl.

If you choose a submersible pump, clear tubing can be purchased from your local hardware store like Home Depot.

There are many variable power, choose which ever suits your needs.

And for the construction of the waterfall. .

Thermo cole use. . . . Dust them. . Take plaster or fevicol stuff. . . Mix them together with thermocol water and mountains on the other hand, makes a few steps too (look good). .

And then use the colors of the fabric to the color of the mountain. . . Creating a pond where the water was over. . . UR to thinking hats. . UR all the creativity in it, add a few trees here and t . .

Some animals. .

A small bridge. .

And so on. . Depending on your creativity. . .

After all, the model is clear. . . Now connect a plastic tube from the dam in a valley where the developer also placed a hose and take the engine to the top of the mountain. . .

In order to cascade evenly, you need a high turnover rate and a very level surface. Pick a pump that can easily turn over the entire volume of your water feature several times an hour. If you are even slightly off with leveling the sandstone, the water will always spill much more rapidly over the low side. Use fine grade rock and sand to create a level base and be very attentive to the wall level as it goes up. Adjust your mortar thickness as needed to create a level top surface and you should be good to go. If you are off a little, you may be able to compensate with a larger volume pump; so wait to buy the pump until you have filled the water feature and can see how much (if any) the water preferentially falls to one side or the other.

An easy way to get it to cascade evenly down all sides would be to go and get about 2 more water pumps then aim them so that each one points in a different direction and space them the same distence abart.

If you get him a Gold fish make sure he won’t have to be the one cleaning the bowl, tank, etc. . . . .

I’m Sadge and I painted my bedroom terracotta and I love it!! It is so warm and is a natural type of color (similar to a clay pot).

Ummm. . . Now I have no idea how that would look with a springy green colored throw blanket- yikes- good luck with that – hehehe

Since the bedding is going to be green I would go with a coordinating green for the walls, preferbaly a lighter green, not too dark like forest green and not to light like lime green. Maybe an olive or mint green.

Also, only two of the walls should be this color.

The opposite walls should be left white. Or colored some other coordinating color, like beige. This way, you have more decorations and colors to work with.

The decorations can then be Aqua and gold. Good luck!

I would go with the liner before I would sink a prefab pond lower than it should go. Those liners are thick and you can double them up for a thicker layer. A small hole will take a long time to drain 200-300 gallons. Make sure you remove any large rocks from underneath. Your method will work, but if the edges of the prefab get bent inward, they could actually tear your liner.

Make sure you know your freeze depth for winter. For example, in Nashville, the suggested minimum pond depth is 24″. If you haven’t done much of this, it would probably be worth it to consult a professional. At the very least, have a long talk with the folks at the pond supply store in your area.

Premade liners from a decent company have a great track records of not tearing or leaking. I won’t worry at all about using just a liner and digging the exact shape and size you want.

The poly ponds are very safe and durable.

You should not have any issues with it leaking. 100 Gallons is more than plenty enough. My pond and waterfall is a measily 8 gallons!! Your pond supply store should be able to recommend the correct size pump based on the size pond you eventually decide on. I would highly recommend a filter of some sort as well. Because you will not have fresh water going into the pond on a regular basis, algae will become an issue. With occasional treatments and the filter, you should be able to keep it under control. Be very wary of predator birds. Get all of the rocks, plants, and other hiding spot things into your pond before you put the fish in.

The pond you chose in the link is a nice one and has a deep section in the middle, this will give the fish a place to go when the critters and birds come for free lunch. I also recommend Koi fish. Thye look like Goldfish but are much more hardy. I’ve lost too many regular goldfish because they were weak.

Worrying a little too much, I think. The rigid liners are not so good – temperature extremes and UV rays tend to break the plastic down over time, and they are subject to cracks or being upheaved from the ground with freeze/thaw cycles, etc. What works better, in my opinion (based on the 3,000 gallon pond we’ve had for the last 8 years and the four ponds we’ve built over the years) is heavy EPDM vinyl liner – at least 30-40 mil thick, or as thick as you can find. It is VERY difficult to puncture, will allow you to make any shape pond you desire, and will not crack or “come out” of the ground once you lay it in.

First, though, put an underlayment layer of sand, 3-4″ thick, and then something like commercial underlayment down to prevent roots, etc. , from growing up to the EPDM layer. I prefer carpet pad – MUCH less money than underlayment and it does essentially the same thing. Let your EPDM sit in the sun to warm up before you try to work with it – it will be much easier to maneuver and get all the wrinkles out as you put it over the underlayment and start to fill your pond with water. This is what we have done with all four ponds we’ve built, and have yet to have any holes or tears.

Also, I’d definitely recommend going with a veggie (or bog) filter over the UV and bead filters. We started with the mechancial filters, and resisted putting in a veggie filter until just last year. Surely, technology has got to be better than some dumb ol’ plants, right? WRONG!! Every year, we fought to maintain the water quality (take care of the water, and the fish will take care of themselves – make sure you understand the fish waste to ammonia to nitrites to nitrates to plants cycle!). We finally put in the veggie filter last year, and our water was crystal!! It is SOOOO much easier to clean!! This year, we completely did away with our mechanical filters and rely exclusively on the veggie filter, and our fish have never been happier.

Most pond building instructions I’ve run accross recommend building “stepped” sides. We live in an area that edges a national forest, and we have problems with predators (racoons, etc. ) getting into our pond, so if this might be something you will face in your area, I recommend doing away with the steps and building steep sides, at least 3′ deep. Plants can be grown in pots on stands to still lend a natural look.

One final thing – no one ever says, “Gee, I wish I had made my pond smaller!” We started out with a 500 gallon pond, and within a year, wished we had gone bigger. So, we expanded our original small pond to the 3,000 gallons we have now. We put one about the same size (500 gal. ) in for my grandpa, about 4 years ago, and now he wants to expand, too! Moral to the story: err on the side of bigger – it will save you from more work later on! Bigger ponds, once they are established, are no more difficult to care for than smaller ponds, and also are less susceptible to any crashes caused by filter or pump problems, etc.

I put in a 90 gallon prefab pond by myself. . . . Dug a big hole. . . . Stuck it in and back filled under it. . . .

It currently has goldfish in it which are big. . . . 2 goldfish, 1 cat fish,had frogs but they grew up and took off. I made a makeshift trickle of water on rocks by attaching an extra hose to the filter and running it under and up through rocks, It also has a bell fountain.

The pump that came with it was great it had a decent size sponge filter that I had to rinse out once in awhile . . . That one burned out and got a smaller one which has a smaller filter (don’t ask me why) and it has to be changed every 30 mins (needs to be upgraded). . . Unfortunately I don’t live at the house where the pond is anymore so I can’t enjoy it (. . . . . . I’m jealous 200-300 gallong pond??. . . .

I would have to say you are worrying too much These preforms are great and rarely do you have need to worry (As long as you do not attempt to walk in the pond while placing it or cleaning it. The flexable liners are great as well. Made from heavy duty recycled rubber tires (also $9. 99 /sq. Foot at Lowes on rolls in the garden section) Tough to put a hole in them. This is what I used on my 15K gallon pond. However if you are new to pond keeping, try the preform first. You can always add a preform and “add to” the preform in the form of a water fall. They come with a filter in most cases and can easily house goldfish and plants. Remember add floating plants like water lettuce, water cress or water hyciths.

If you were going to use both, The rubber liner should go below the preform not the other way around. Really it is over kill though. Beckley makes a really great durable filter. I have run them on my ponds for years with no worries or problems. Just remember to calculate the volume of water correctly. Your filter should turn the pond water volume over a minimum of 3 times 5 is best. UV Sterilizer is not really necessary. Nice to have on larger ponds but not needed.

The poly ponds are very safe and durable.

You should not have any issues with it leaking. 100 Gallons is more than plenty enough. My pond and waterfall is a measily 8 gallons!! Your pond supply store should be able to recommend the correct size pump based on the size pond you eventually decide on. I would highly recommend a filter of some sort as well. Because you will not have fresh water going into the pond on a regular basis, algae will become an issue. With occasional treatments and the filter, you should be able to keep it under control. We live in an area that edges a national forest, and we have problems with predators (racoons, etc. ) getting into our pond, so if this might be something you will face in your area, I recommend doing away with the steps and building steep sides, at least 3′ deep. Plants can be grown in pots on stands to still lend a natural look.

One final thing – no one ever says, “Gee, I wish I had made my pond smaller!” We started out with a 500 gallon pond, and within a year, wished we had gone bigger. So, we expanded our original small pond to the 3,000 gallons we have now. We put one about the same size (500 gal. ) in for my grandpa, about 4 years ago, and now he wants to expand, too! Moral to the story: err on the side of bigger – it will save you from more work later on! I would have to say you are worrying too much These preforms are great and rarely do you have need to worry (As long as you do not attempt to walk in the pond while placing it or cleaning it. The flexable liners are great as well. Made from heavy duty recycled rubber tires (also $9. 99 /sq. Foot at Lowes on rolls in the garden section) Tough to put a hole in them. This is what I used on my 15K gallon pond. However if you are new to pond keeping, try the preform first. You can always add a preform and “add to” the preform in the form of a water fall. They come with a filter in most cases and can easily house goldfish and plants. Remember add floating plants like water lettuce, water cress or water hyciths.

If you were going to use both, The rubber liner should go below the preform not the other way around. Really it is over kill though. Beckley makes a really great durable filter. I have run them on my ponds for years with no worries or problems. Just remember to calculate the volume of water correctly. Your filter should turn the pond water volume over a minimum of 3 times 5 is best. UV Sterilizer is not really necessary. Nice to have on larger ponds but not needed.

The naming of your business could be one of the most important decisions you will make.

A name’s originality and legal availability will create a real asset value of its own, as it becomes marketed and gains market acceptance.

I would go with the liner before I would sink a prefab pond lower than it should go. Those liners are thick and you can double them up for a thicker layer. A small hole will take a long time to drain 200-300 gallons. Make sure you remove any large rocks from underneath. Your method will work, but if the edges of the prefab get bent inward, they could actually tear your liner.

Make sure you know your freeze depth for winter. For example, in Nashville, the suggested minimum pond depth is 24″. If you haven’t done much of this, it would probably be worth it to consult a professional. At the very least, have a long talk with the folks at the pond supply store in your area.

Premade liners from a decent company have a great track records of not tearing or leaking. I won’t worry at all about using just a liner and digging the exact shape and size you want.

The poly ponds are very safe and durable.

You should not have any issues with it leaking. 100 Gallons is more than plenty enough. My pond and waterfall is a measily 8 gallons!! Your pond supply store should be able to recommend the correct size pump based on the size pond you eventually decide on. I would highly recommend a filter of some sort as well. Because you will not have fresh water going into the pond on a regular basis, algae will become an issue. With occasional treatments and the filter, you should be able to keep it under control. Be very wary of predator birds. Get all of the rocks, plants, and other hiding spot things into your pond before you put the fish in.

The pond you chose in the link is a nice one and has a deep section in the middle, this will give the fish a place to go when the critters and birds come for free lunch. I also recommend Koi fish. Thye look like Goldfish but are much more hardy. I’ve lost too many regular goldfish because they were weak.

Worrying a little too much, I think. The rigid liners are not so good – temperature extremes and UV rays tend to break the plastic down over time, and they are subject to cracks or being upheaved from the ground with freeze/thaw cycles, etc. What works better, in my opinion (based on the 3,000 gallon pond we’ve had for the last 8 years and the four ponds we’ve built over the years) is heavy EPDM vinyl liner – at least 30-40 mil thick, or as thick as you can find. It is VERY difficult to puncture, will allow you to make any shape pond you desire, and will not crack or “come out” of the ground once you lay it in.

First, though, put an underlayment layer of sand, 3-4″ thick, and then something like commercial underlayment down to prevent roots, etc. , from growing up to the EPDM layer. I prefer carpet pad – MUCH less money than underlayment and it does essentially the same thing. Let your EPDM sit in the sun to warm up before you try to work with it – it will be much easier to maneuver and get all the wrinkles out as you put it over the underlayment and start to fill your pond with water. This is what we have done with all four ponds we’ve built, and have yet to have any holes or tears.

Also, I’d definitely recommend going with a veggie (or bog) filter over the UV and bead filters. We started with the mechancial filters, and resisted putting in a veggie filter until just last year. Surely, technology has got to be better than some dumb ol’ plants, right? WRONG!! Every year, we fought to maintain the water quality (take care of the water, and the fish will take care of themselves – make sure you understand the fish waste to ammonia to nitrites to nitrates to plants cycle!). We finally put in the veggie filter last year, and our water was crystal!! It is SOOOO much easier to clean!! This year, we completely did away with our mechanical filters and rely exclusively on the veggie filter, and our fish have never been happier.

Most pond building instructions I’ve run accross recommend building “stepped” sides. We live in an area that edges a national forest, and we have problems with predators (racoons, etc. ) getting into our pond, so if this might be something you will face in your area, I recommend doing away with the steps and building steep sides, at least 3′ deep. Plants can be grown in pots on stands to still lend a natural look.

One final thing – no one ever says, “Gee, I wish I had made my pond smaller!” We started out with a 500 gallon pond, and within a year, wished we had gone bigger. So, we expanded our original small pond to the 3,000 gallons we have now. We put one about the same size (500 gal. ) in for my grandpa, about 4 years ago, and now he wants to expand, too! Moral to the story: err on the side of bigger – it will save you from more work later on! Bigger ponds, once they are established, are no more difficult to care for than smaller ponds, and also are less susceptible to any crashes caused by filter or pump problems, etc.

I’m not a big fan of posters on walls, but I’m thinking that with your favorite colors, you could do something really neat on one wall. . . . Like paint all the walls baby blue, and paint one wall black with some neat free-form red, purple and baby blue shapes.

Since you are 16, the room will most likely last until you are 20 or older. Frame the pictures that you want to put on the walls (Whether it be Aaliya, the Bunny, etc. ) and then you can easily exchange the pictures with ease, without ruining the wall.

hmm well depending on the size and shape of your bedroom you might want to first start out by arranging the furniture to your liking. I love silk as well,but it’s not always cheap, so a great alternative would be satin. 2 pannels or more per window in your room of one or two of your favorite colors would make great window treatments. Posters are fine! But you might want to check out Wal Mart or your local discount store for frames so they look a bit more elegant.

Then tie that together with a plush/faux fur throw to go over your bed, and there you have it.

If you have the aerator you don’t need the waterfall or the fountain, although they look nice. The bio filter just helps keep the sludge and muck out of the works and keeps the water clean. You don’t need the underwater lighting if you don’t care about seeing the pond at night.

But the rest of it, yeah, you pretty much need for a healthy pond.

EDIT: if the waterfall is robust enough you can replace the aerator with that, no problem, but you really need the filter to keep the pump(s) from clogging. Keep in mind also that these are not self contained systems; you will have to clean/replace the pump media on a regular basis, balance the water chemistry, do partial water changes from time to time. . .

Also, if you have racoons in your area you’ll want to think about some sort of barrier to keep them out . Racoons think Koi ponds are sushi bars.

Unless you have a tablet to scribble on, these shapes can be hard to freehand in a computer.

If I were to make these designs I would first sketch it out on paper exactly how I wanted it to look, then I would scan that image and trace it with the pen tool to convert it to a vector graphic. Tracing is a lot easier than freehand.

The first consideration is your location. The secound is your budget and the third is the amount of time you have to spend in your yard each week. Next would be what you prefer. Each person has a different situation to deal with.
Start with a map of your property and a list of your wants and needs. Start filling in your map with the items you desire and work tword those goals.
If your budget is limited, I would start with a seating area and Bar-B-Que. Next would come privacy (if that is a concern). Then any other major piece (a pool for instance). Themes will grow from t Look at garden pictures and decide what you like or dislike about them. Just remember, a place filled with flower beds takes lots of time to mantain.

The design theme I would choose would rely heavily upon the climatic location of my home. It is difficult to grow lush tropical looking plants in an arid environment, for instance. Also, many plants that would provide the ideal tropical environment will not last in a northern climate.
Exactly what ammenities I would choose would depend greatly upon were my yard is located and my home situated.
I would have a Bar-B-Que with counterspace nearby (even if it is something that is stored for the winter). A dinning area or screenhouse (if bitting insects are a problem), would be included as would a comfortable seating area were I could entertain or just have a morning cup of coffee.
A pool would either need to be situated near an accessable bathroom or a cabana built nearby. Outdoor showers are a must in sandy areas to avoid a dirty spa or pool.
Hot tubs are great but in cold winter areas you will need to insulate under it and have a good insulated cover. Getting out of a hot tub into 4″ of snow is an experiance you will not soon forget.
A pond with a waterfall is a must if you have a “natural” theme. Just remember that cold winters will necessitate certain precautions in order not to damage your pond or kill any fish. No goldfish please in any areas that may overflow into a natural stream.
In an arid area I would go with plants that are native and capable of providing shade, and color with a minimum of water. A desert scape with stones and only a small lawn area would do (lawns are water hungry). A southwest theme, Tuscan or Spanish style would work well especally if you provide a varandah or a large grape arbor (or use climbing vines) to add a cool seating area.

A warm southern climate would be ideal for that Hawaian them as would a gazebo. If you live in a wooded area rustic fits in very well. Think about a tire swing to add a touch of nostolgia to the country view.

No mater what theme I chose, I would recommend installing an underground water system to mantain the growth, watering cans are for potted plants only.

You could drill a large hole in the middle and have the kids plant flowers in it and then they could see them when they are growing.
Maybe have the kids make a bird bath out of it and that way they could see the birds.

I believe in faith , hope, love and tomorrow. What a truly sad and one dimensional world we would live in if we only believed in those things we can touch or feel or somehow else quantify. What a cold and sterile world it would be indeed if we needed to quantify everything so we could prove it exists. Technology, medical advancements, education and discoveries have happened because some people dared to dream beyond what was accepted as conventional wisdom.

We grow as a civilization when we are able to think outside the box.

If man were to stop questioning ,he would stagnate. Just because we can’t measure hope , or love by any measurable standard does not mean it doesn’t exist.

Seems like it is hard to keep the joy in something when you have to do it for money.

You no longer have control of and it isn’t yours.

I think Ann Rand has this notion in the fountainhead, in which a architect won’t do a project unless he has control. (I’m not a randian – she was more than nuts in several ways).

Ideally, you find something you do for yourself and other like it to and give you money.

Most people I think though bifurcate themselves into what they do for money, things they do for them selves.

Awesome image and wonderful story. One real easy way to ruin a creative passion is to try and turn it into a money maker. I know a few working artists who complain regularly about never having the time to work on their own projects and instead spend the majority of their time doing work, that although may pay the bills, is less than personally satisfying.

It would be torture for me to be on a photoshoot for a client and not be able to follow some creative or avante garde directions because it didn’t match up with the job at hand. Photography for me is something that I cherish and is the easist, most direct way for me to release my creative energies… I would be hardpressed to bastardize that in anyway.

Best of luck to you in finding your true career path. I am another person who believes that what we do for a living doesn’t necessarily have to define us as a person.

Ah! I have been waiting for this.

Your "thinking" has spurred a lot of the same on my part, in a very good, if difficult way. I have struggled all my life with how to remain true to my work, whether photography or any number of art media, and make a living.

There was a time when there was little choice about what work I did, or so I thought. Now it seems that more freedom does not necessarily make things easier. What I have learned though is to embrace the process. I spent ,many years running from myself, and now I am ready to take this on with vigor. Thank you Eric for sharing, and caring. I will be posting my own thoughts as soon as I am able to articulate them.

The flight sounds heavenly. I’m jealous hehehe.Mporeite introduce women. 2 If the male is not the war, the brothers can (they tend to be okay with one another).

The best way is to get the 2 new female and the place and the 4 birds in the cage at the same time. This way none of the birds are predominant in the cage.

They will create their own social status.

The general rule is that you can add as many women want, you can not add a male without thilyko.Mporei have a pecking order and some are struggling a bit, but should resolve itself, a hierarchy is established. Pecking and cooing how to tell who is male and who is female. Females are submissive and generally do not fight back.

Also be sure to add hay, so the birds can make their own nests.

If you have babies in the community is well accepted and common to have conflicts. Despite your best efforts you may be inbreeding in this case. I thought it was wrong, but the only way to solve this problem by removing the brothers. I had brothers mate and reproduce with no adverse effects (ie no anomalies, congenital anomalies, etc.) Good luck and have fun I love my pigeons make great pets.

If you raised beds, you can do just about anything. I’d go for scented flowers around the deck – sweet peas for the day, night stock (mattiola) for the perfume of night. Near the fence, I would suggest to any height, but not anything clinging to you a new fence (if you keep the old one, I would be covered with vines). How about mahogany color, branching sunflowers? Let the seeds later attracting ptinon.An want to plant and forget (perrenials, or self-seeding plants), grab a package of oriental poppies and boneriensis Valeriana to color early and late . Looking for more work, a few roses are always nice, but needed more coddling than most plants.

Caray en Agosto ya está tan oscuro a las nueve de la noche, hace tanto que no voy que casi no lo recordaba. Muy al contrario me acuerdo mucho de la luminosidad sobre todo en invierno cuando había nieve que siempre me molestaba mucho

Bueno, nueve y media. Supongo que la oscuridad se debe en gran parte a las montañas del oeste que hacen sombra. El cielo no estaba tan oscuro, pero sí el lugar donde estaba. Las fotos del hotel y del casino que he puesto en la anterior se hicieron pocos minutos después. Y para volver al coche, aparcado en la entrada a la altura de la planta embotelladora, tuve que utilizar el led de ayuda al enfoque del teléfono móvil para ver el suelo (tengo un programilla instalado que me permite activarlo a modo de linterna).

profundo te leo, como profundo veo el fondo del lago….Programillas, juegas con ventaja…;)

La imagen es tal cual. El programa sólo lo he utilizado para ajustar el horizonte (apoyé la cámara en un poste y no estaba del todo horizontal), aplicar máscara de enfoque (lo hago con todas las fotos) y ajustar los blancos porque lo verde estaba un poco azulado.

Contest of the Week – Remembrance Day/Veteran’s Day

My Dad just got asked by Honor Flight to go to DC, but they don’t have enough money for an overnight stay, so it was going to be 20 hour ordeal. He had to say no. Next time, in the Spring, I hope to go with him and we will vacation there afterward. I just can’t stand the thought of him never seeing this great achievement.

The landscape is awe inspiring and will rival many of the vistas of Evropis.10.000 feet is enough land and do not think any of the major bicycle 24 World Tour events go that high on a hill. I believe this can be very hard for cyclists World Class, but what is just opinion mou.I your question is very interesting and deserves special attention for the Tour of California in future events!

Many choices around Reno for a big mountain stage. How about Bishop through the MTS White. Valley of death! California is a beautiful city with many great rides within its borders. . . . Should be interesting to see how many “non-oriented stages of the population, which has never been! Soccerref
