patio landscape assist?
We moved into this home last summer & at this time that warmer weather is coming, I’d like to concentrate some time on creation the backyard look nicer.
It’s small (16.5′W by 39.5′L, plus a big deck). I’ve no thought what to do with it & was hoping a little of you may have a little design ideas. I’ll be putting up a little new fencing (I was propensity towards this bamboo fencing: http://cgi.Ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.Dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=350047135604&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=022 ). I’d as well like to have a little flowers (I living in Hardiness Zone 6, if that helps with floral offers) & possibly a small pond or possible just a pond-fewer waterfall (this would go back in one of the nooks and corners near the car garage).
Some flowers would have to be put in a lifted flower bed (becaue of the dog).
If it helps, here’s a link to a little pictures of my backyard: http://s283.Photobucket.com/albums/kk281/xbeautifulxxdreamerx/backyard%20and%20deck/i’d appreciate any design thoughts you may have to do it look nicer! Thanks!

If you raised beds, you can do almost anything. I’d go for scented flowers around the deck – sweet peas for the day, night storage (mattiola) for aroma night. Near the fence, I would suggest some level, but nothing sticks to you new fence (if you kept the old one, would like to cover the vines). How about mahogany colored, branch sunflowers? Let the seeds for later to attract poulia. An want to plant and forget (perrenials, or self-seeding plants), grab a package of oriental poppies and boneriensis Valeriana to color early and late.
If you are looking for more work, a few roses are always nice, but needed more coddling than most plants.
