How do i go around starting my own business designing and installing waterfalls and ponds in Washington say? By SAM.

Sounds to me like you are in the infant stages of starting a business. You need to do quite a bit of research. Here are some steps I recommend.

1.

You need to write a good business plan. Business plans are important for so many reasons and in writing a good one you will answer a lot of your questions.

2. See the first step. In doing your research you should look into other similar businesses and try to find out as much about expenses as possible. This will help you to determine how much you need to start off with. Here’s an article on financing that might help.

3.

After you have started to put together your business plan you should consult with a local CPA and business lawyer. These guys will help point you in the right direction as far as what type of business to form and other legal issues. A good article on the types of business:

Hope this helps and gets you started in the right direction. Come back for more specific answers after you have done some serious research.
