Creative ways to use/transform a tree stump for children?
I simply bought a home with a actually neat backyard developed with children in spirit which is good because i’ve 3 kids (ages 3, 5, and 7) and I as well run a home daycare.
There’s a big playhouse that somebody built (full with pane pane widows, home doors, and shingle roof), a occult and hidden treehouse, a miniature waterfall, a small pond, and a “clandestine garden”.
There happens to as well be this big tree stump that’s about 2 1/2 feet high and 2 to 2 1/2 feet in diameter that I would like to do anything creative with for the kids, however would as well look good with the backyard landscaping. I idea of redeering and transforming it into a desk or a stool but would appreciate any another ideas! Thanks ![]()

i think you should make it like a bench

rip a seat out with a tigersaw, chisel smoothish, and make a fairy throne. Or drill the middle out and make a lid from a slice of the stump so the can hide treasures. OR stick 2 twig arms on the side and use expanding foam to “sculpt” a face, paint with craft paint in tree colors so the have a gnome guardian.

You could drill a large hole in the middle and have the kids plant flowers in it and then they could see them when they are growing.
Maybe have the kids make a bird bath out of it and that way they could see the birds.
How a about putting those outside windmills in it somehow by making holes in the side of it and that way the kids could pick their own out and watch them

I would definitely go with turning it into a table. You can get a circular plexiglass top and screw it into tree and then add little plastic outdoor chairs – then you wouldn’t cover up any natural look of the landscaping.
